ROUNDIT®
Abrasion
Protection Meets Flexible Design
Federal-Mogul
Systems Protection Group’s abrasion and bundling
products feature self-wrapping and expandable designs
that provide easy-to-apply protection for cable and
wire applications.
These
products are engineered using the most advanced textiles
to provide superior protection in the harshest environments.
A variety of designs are available to accommodate
breakouts and are ideal for reworking components.
As an added benefit, the patented ROUNDIT® Tool
will help improve installation time and is designed
to install ROUNDIT® products on harnesses from
5mm up to 19mm in diameter.
Roundit
2000NX
Roundit
2000NX is a wrap-around sleeving manufactured from
PPS monofilaments and Nomex* with an oil and water
repellent treatment, designed for mechanical protection
and maintenance of wire and cable bundles. Its construction
with 100% covering ratio provides excellent cut-through
and abrasion resistance. The self-wrapping feature
of Roundit 2000NX allows for quick and easy installation
and removal of the product for assembly and maintenance.
This
design offers innovative solutions to the protection
of breakout areas and also provides ease of removal
when inspection or maintenance of cables is necessary.
Roundit 2000NX in red is designed to identify wire
harnesses connected with weapon systems. Roundit 2000NX
in orange is designed to identify wire harnesses connected
with test equipments taken on-board airplanes.
As
an additional benefit, Roundit 2000NX enables users
to stock a limited range of sizes to cover a wide
range of cable and wire diameters. To ease installation,
a special assembly tooling, Roundit-Tool, has been
designed. Roundit 2000NX has many applications in
the aeronautical and military industries.
